Engineering Services

The Engineering Services Department is responsible for the following services:

• Rural Roads: are funded by Federal, State and Local Governments according to their classification which is set by the Roads and Traffic Authority. Yass Shire road details can be found at Roads Classifications;
• Urban Streets;
• Parks and Gardens;
• Sporting Fields;
• Recycling, there are many different products that can be used for recycling
• Waste Management, is a very busy area of Council involving Domestic Waste Collections, the treatment of Green Waste, also available Landfill Operations. • Asset Management;
• Water Supply, this area of Council's operations involves Water Quality & Capacity - Improvements and Water Supply Strategy;
• Wastewater is dealt with in, Village Sewerage Schemes and Yass Sewerage Augmentation.
